Austin, TX– The label that started it all and changed the Latin music landscape forever by bringing Reggaeton to the forefront of the industry, Machete Music, now takes this young urban movement to the next level by partnering with AEG Live to produce this unprecedented tribute to the genre that has defined a generation. Ivy Queen, Tego Calderón, Cosculluela, Angel y Khriz, Chino y Nacho, Jowell y Randy, and Flex are part of the star-studded roster of artists who will perform as part of Machete Music Tour 2010, which will also include special guest appearances, creating a different concert experience in each venue visited. The tour will stop at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on October 27!

The Machete Music Tour 2010 is a celebration of the label’s five year anniversary and will include the biggest names in Latin Urban Music as well as the hottest up-and-coming artists. This once in a lifetime experience, which opens on October 15 in Orlando, Florida, promises to be an unparalleled production for this genre that has taken over radio airwaves, dance floors and concert venues throughout the world.

Machete Music Tour 2010 will bring together artists that comprise Machete’s past, present and future, in an epic tour where new music, classic hits and unexpected collaborations will offer fans an experience unlike any other.
The tour will be headlined by two of Latin urban music’s biggest icons, Ivy Queen and Tego Calderón. Ivy’s new album “Drama Queen” is set to release tomorrow. Calderón will appear in the next “The Fast and the Furious” film and is currently recording his next album which drops in early 2011.
To aid in the A&R process of the tour, Machete and AEG, have brought in colleagues and urban Latin market connoisseurs Edgar Andino, manager of Wisin & Yandel and Jowell & Randy; Elías De León, owner of Reggaeton and Hip Hop label White Lion Records and producer of Machete Music artists Jowell & Randy and JKing & Maximan; and Luis “Moreno” Lebrón, Ivy Queen’s manager and successful Puerto Rico concert promoter. Andino, De León and Lebrón will play key roles in ensuring there is an organic flow to the way the music is delivered to the audience.
