Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band Ask for Your Support
to Help Local Austin Food Bank
AUSTIN, TEXAS– Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have a long history of supporting the local food banks in the cities they perform, and Austin is no exception. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s Austin appearance will allow for a local area food drive and create heightened awareness for those in need.
The Frank Erwin Center is proud to host Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band for a sold out show this Sunday, April 5th. Patrons are encouraged to bring one or more canned food items to the Frank Erwin Center to help support the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. The night of the event there will be collection points at the entrances of the Frank Erwin Center.
Erwin Center Director John Graham said, “With the state of the economy, there are more hungry families in Central Texas and we are very happy to work with Bruce Springsteen in his efforts to help those families put food on their tables.”
Since 1977, the Frank Erwin Center has served Central Texans with some of the best in live entertainment. The multi-purpose facility located on The University of Texas at Austin campus, hosts a variety of events including concerts, theatrical performances, family shows and sporting events. It also serves as the home court for the Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams.
