AUSTIN, TEXAS – Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s “Working on a Dream” Tour is selling out venues all over the country, and the Frank Erwin Center’s April 5th show is no exception!

The Austin date is produced by Live Nation. Bob Roux, Regional President for Live Nation said, "John Graham (Erwin Center Director) and I have been working on obtaining a show with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band for the Frank Erwin Center for just about a year and a half, all the way back to when we were initially routing the Magic Tour for 2008. John was relentless in his efforts to get Live Nation to procure a date for Austin and it certainly has paid off for the Austin fans. This weekend we sold out the entire show.”

The “Working on a Dream” Tour begins on April 1st in San Jose, CA and continues throughout the spring. The new album Working on a Dream, which received 5 stars from Rolling Stone, is in stores now.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band is the third sell-out for the Erwin Center in 2009. “The Paisley Party Tour” sold nearly 7,000 tickets on January 22, and most recently The Killers impressed a sold-out audience of over 6,800 on February 3.

Since 1977, the Frank Erwin Center has served Central Texans with some of the best in live entertainment. The multi-purpose facility located on The University of Texas at Austin campus, hosts a variety of events including concerts, theatrical performances, family shows and sporting events. It also serves as the home court for the Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams.
