BRAD PAISLEY BRINGS THE PAISLEY PARTY TOUR TO AUSTIN ON JANUARY 22
Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 15 at 10 AM
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Brad Paisley has announced the last leg of “The Paisley Party” tour which will make a stop at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on January 22. Paisley has invited fellow Grand ‘Ole Opry member Dierks Bentley to be his very special guest, as well as Hootie & The Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker.
Current CMA and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year, Paisley received his first Grammy Award this year for Best Country Instrumental for “Throttleneck,” and has just garnered his twelfth No. 1 single of his career with “Waitin’ On A Woman.” “The Paisley Party” has played to over 502,000 fans so far this year and last year’s “Bonfires and Amplifiers” tour was ranked #2 in total attendance for country tours by Pollstar. Paisley’s highly anticipated guitar-driven mostly-instrumental album, Play, was just released on November 4 and includes special guest vocals and collaborations with B.B. King, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner and Buck Owens. His next single is “Start A Band” with fellow guitar-slinger Keith Urban.
Coming off his career fifth No. 1 hit, country music star Dierks Bentley firmly made a place for himself at the top of the charts with his third disc, Long Trip Alone, which spawned two No. 1 hit singles, six Grammy nominations and CMA nods for “Album Of The Year” and “Male Vocalist of the Year.” The Phoenix native spent the past year headlining his “Throttle Wide Open” tour in both the US and Europe, while making time to play some of the biggest music festivals in the country, including Lollapalooza in Chicago. Having already won every new artist award offered by the industry (CMA, ACM, CMT), Dierks Bentley is poised to join the ranks of country music’s elite with his fourth album, currently slated for release in early 2009. The lead single “Feel That Fire” was just released to country radio and with plans to take a break from the road this Fall, Bentley will be fired up to introduce other brand new music to fans on “The Paisley Party” tour.
As the voice of Hootie & The Blowfish, the Grammy Award winning band that has sold over 25 million albums worldwide, artist Darius Rucker is hardly an unknown. But now music fans are hearing a fresh side of this distinctive performer with his first country smash, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," that rose to No. 1 on the Billboard country chart. Darius Rucker's highly anticipated Capitol Records Nashville album debut, Learn To Live, hit stores on September 16 and features Paisley on guitar on the track “All I Want.”
