Austin, Texas – The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® production will pull into the Frank Erwin Center today and there are several exciting events planned to accompany their arrival.

Circus fans across Central Texas are invited to join the BellobrationSM at the Frank Erwin Center for multiple performances August 20-24, 2008. It promises to be an extravaganza at The Greatest Show On Earth® where comic daredevil Bello and his fantastic friends throw an amazing party that can’t be topped.

Animal Walk— Monday, August 18 (1pm- Time is subject to change without notice.)
Come watch as the circus rolls into town by train! The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® ’train will arrive at the area bordered by 5th, 6th, Robert T. Martinez Jr. and Pedernales streets. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey parading pachyderms and friends will proceed to the Frank Erwin Center by heading west on 6th to Red River, north on Red River to 15th and east on 15th to the southeast exit of Lot 108. This is a great opportunity for exciting live shots.

Elephant Brunch – Tuesday, August 19 (10:30 am) Don’t miss the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Ringling Bros. magnificent elephants. The eleven Asian elephants will be fed a brunch of elephant-sized proportions, with food provided by H-E-B. This event is not open to the public, but will be attended by Starlight Children’s Foundation. Media is invited to cover the event.

Military Night – Thursday, August 21 (7:30pm Showtime)

CircusFit Seminar at Life Time Fitness – Friday, August 22 (2pm) Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® combines fun activities with healthy exercises for their CircusFit Seminar. The goal of CircusFit is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle for kids all over the nation. Ringling Bros. clowns will lead participants in entertaining workout routines by combining traditional exercise activities with fun circus skills. Life Time Fitness will be registering people to attend, and wristbands will be required for admittance to the gym for this event. For more information about registration, please call 512-358-8171. Pre-Show Highlights:

One and a half hours before the show audiences are invited to visit the Animal Open HouseSM and discover the efforts that Ringling Bros. makes to save the endangered Asian elephant at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation®.

One hour before show time, audiences can join Ringling Bros. for the interactive All Access Pre-Show to learn circus skills, become CircusFit®, meet Ringling Bros. performers and get an up-close look at the animal stars of The Greatest Show On Earth – FREE to all ticket holders!
