AUSTIN, Texas – Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® is scheduled to present BellobrationSM at the Frank Erwin Center August 20-24, 2008. In advance of the show, a very special representative is in Central Texas spreading the word about the event, as well as creating lots of joy in the process.

Bonzo Crunch, also known as Austin resident Rik Gern, works as a “Clown Ambassador” and he will be spending the next couple of weeks promoting the Austin visit of The Greatest Show On Earth® later this summer.

In addition to various library visits beginning June 24, Bonzo Crunch is also scheduled to provide a unique entertainment experience for some special patients at Dell Children’s Medical Center on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM.

His performance caps off a week of festivities that are a part of Camp Get-A-Well-A. This camp experience is for children in the hospital, featuring activities such as campfire songs, art activities, a carnival, concert, outdoor movie theater and much, much more!

Also, providing excitement during the afternoon will be Starlight-Starbright Children’s Foundation which has arranged for video games to be provided by Game Crazy. Starlight-Starbright works with local hospitals to help seriously ill children and their families cope with pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.
