**MEDIA ADVISORY**
NEIGHBORS IN NEED - A HUGE SUCCESS!!

Music is good for everyone’s
soul, especially when it’s made and given for such a good cause.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this event!
Approximately 6,000 people enjoyed the incredible music at the Neighbors
in Need benefit concert that included performances by Willie Nelson, the
Neville Brothers, Ray Price, Jimmie Vaughan, The Flatlanders, Patty Griffin,
Bob Schneider and Eric Johnson. $223,170 was raised from ticket sales,
which will go directly to the Red Cross and its Hurricane Katrina relief
effort.
Patti Ohlendorf, Vice President for Institutional Relations and Legal
Affairs at the University of Texas, Mayor Will Wynn, Clifford Antone, Freddy
Fletcher, Robin Shivers, and representatives from the Frank Erwin Center
and Direct Events will be presenting a check to the Red Cross today at
1:15pm at the Frank Erwin Center.
Members of the media are invited to attend today’s presentation and
are welcome to park in Lot 108, south of the Frank Erwin Center, across
from Brackenridge Hospital.
