AUSTIN, TEXAS – Rock giants Scorpions, Tesla, and UFO join The Keith Emerson Band for Austin’s Own Rock Fest at the Erwin Center on Friday, November 12. Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 2 at 10AM. Germany’s biggest rock band of all time, Scorpions, made their explosive debut in 1972 with Lonesome Crow. Since then, they’ve built a formidable resume of top ten hits such as “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Winds of Change.” In 2004, the Scorpions released their twentieth album, Unbreakable. The no-frills, bluesy rock offered by Tesla has captured audiences for over two decades. Since their debut album, Resonance, in 1982, Tesla’s albums have sold millions of copies and have produced Top Ten singles such as “Signs” and “Love Song.” Their reunion album, Into the Now, hit record stores this year. Brit-rockers UFO touch down to Earth this fall to promote their new album You Are Here. A collaboration that began in 1969 in London and produced hits such as “Too Hard to Handle” and “Lights Out” continues to evolve its sound, surprising and delighting fans with each new album. Recently honored for his contributions to electronic music by the Smithsonian Institute, Keith Emerson is a pioneer and leader of progressive rock. A piano sensation by age 14, Emerson showed early talent and promise. The rock collaboration Emerson, Lake, and Palmer recorded six platinum albums and Emerson’s latest effort featuring the Nice, Live 2002, offers updated versions of the classic hits, “Hoe Down” and “Fanfare for the Common Man.” Tickets for Austin’s Own Rock Fest featuring Scorpions, Tesla, UFO, and The Keith Emerson Band at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center, Friday, November 12 at 6PM are $25, $35, and $45 and GO ON SALE Saturday, October 2 at 10AM at all Texas Box Office Outlets (includes H-E-B stores in Austin, Bastrop, Bee Caves, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and San Marcos; Ft.
