Rickey Smiley has been working the comedy circuit for the past sixteen years. In that time, he has established himself as a clean comic and his down home southern humor has made him a favorite in the nation's top comedy venues. From intimate comedy clubs to sold-out crowds at Madison Square Garden, the Universal Amphitheater and the Lincoln Center, Smiley’s unique style of humor resonates with his audiences unlike any other comic on the road today.

Best known as host of the 2000 season of BET’s “ComicView,” Smiley led the show to its highest jump in ratings in the show’s ten year history. BET then quickly signed Smiley to host “The Way We Do It” during the 2001-2002 season. Smiley also made his mark in the feature film arena, appearing in New Line Cinema's Friday After Next, which was released in 2002. He hosts the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” that can be heard weekdays on Dallas' 97.9 The Beat Hip-Hop radio station from 6AM to 10AM and is also syndicated to 22 other markets around the country. Smiley has released five comedy CDs to date: The Best of Comedian Rickey Smiley: Volume I, Rickey Smiley Prank Phone Calls Volume II, Rickey Smiley: Volume III, Rickey Smiley: “Off the Hook” Volume IV and Rickey Smiley Prank Phone Calls Volume V.
