Mexico men’s professional soccer powerhouses come to the Forty Acres!
State Farm Copa Aztex features two of Mexico’s premier professional teams -- Cruz Azul vs. Tigres -- on Saturday, July 18, 2009. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Central.
These teams boast significant fan followings. Cruz Azul is based in Mexico City and Tigres in Monterrey. Both are part of the league Primera División de México.
In true international soccer fashion, State Farm Copa Aztex activities on July 18 include "Univision Radio Presenta El Golazo Musical" adjacent to Myers Stadium beginning at 4:30 p.m. with concessions, adult beverages, promotional giveaways and live music from top national artists.
