The Cheetah Girls

It's A Jungle Out There!
line

Get ready for a night full of excitement when the incredibly popular group, The Cheetah Girls, kicks off their national tour in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center on October 8! The girls are going on tour to support their third film The Cheetah Girls One World, which aired this summer on the Disney Channel, as well as its accompanying soundtrack.

The group first appeared in the Disney Channel original movie The Cheetah Girls, followed by the sequel The Cheetah Girls 2. The original group consisted of Raven Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams. The popular Disney star Raven Symone appeared in the first two movies, but because of scheduling conflicts, decided to leave the group to pursue other career opportunities. The Cheetah Girls have since trimmed down to a trio and have been singing their way into the hearts of Disney fans all over the world.

Originally, The Cheetah Girls were only supposed to appear in the Disney Channel movies. The movies featured the girls playing the fictional characters of Chanel Simmons, Dorinda Thomas, and Aquanette Walker. However, inspired by the success of the films, Disney decided to turn the members of the group into real recording artists. The first complete album by The Cheetah Girls, TCG, was released in 2007 and contained the popular songs “So Bring It On” and “Fuego.” The Cheetah Girls used their real names for the album and started to establish themselves as legitimate singers outside of their movies.

The success and popularity of The Cheetah Girls continues to grow. Their third movie, The Cheetah Girls One World, showcases the charisma and charm of the three leading ladies. With the production of new movie, The Cheetah Girls are broadening their horizons to include a global fan base that will enjoy the fun-loving lyrics of the girl group. In addition to filming their movies and performing as a group, The Cheetah Girls are busy working on their own individual projects. Bailon is currently recording a solo album, Bryan will release a book titled Princess of Gossip later this year and has filmed another fitness DVD called BYou 2, whilst Williams will have a role in the 2008 film The House Bunny.

The appeal of The Cheetah Girls stems from the combination of vibrant personalities, impressive dance skills, and age-appropriate lyrics. Their close-knit friendship and enthusiasm for singing makes The Cheetah Girls fantastic performers on stage and leaves fans chanting for more. Their new tour will feature songs from all three of their movies, their album, and many more that they have performed throughout their career. The chance to attend a concert featuring The Cheetah Girls is an opportunity of a lifetime and is guaranteed to be a night full of crowd pleasing performances.
