The wait is almost over! The Bass Concert Hall renovation is nearly complete and the six theaters that embody the Performing Arts Center are gearing up for a stunning season of dance, music and theatre.

The 2008-2009 Performing Arts Center Season is literally “bringing the world to Austin” with a spectacular lineup featuring artists from the Balkans, Australia, Brazil and the United States.

In other Performing Arts Center news, the UT College of Fine Arts Department of Theatre and Dance opens a stellar season with repertory productions of 410 [GONE] and SUMMER PEOPLE, beginning Friday, October 10 at the Oscar G. Brockett Theatre located in the Winship Drama Building on the University of Texas campus.

These productions are being presented in repertory and were written by gifted UT students; SUMMER PEOPLE by Jenny Connell and 410 [GONE] by Frances Ya-Chu. For more information on these productions and the entire Theatre & Dance season, please visit www.finearts.utexas.edu/tad.
