Scooter has had three successful seasons with the Trotters. This all-star is famous for being able to spin the ball on his head. “Right now, I can keep it going up there for about seven or eight seconds; I’m still trying to perfect it.” He says it’s a little easier to do it with a bald head, but you still can do it if you have some hair up top. “But if you have hair like Wildkat Edgerson,” Scooter jokes, “forget it. The ball would get lost up there.”

Like most people, Special K considers Michael Jordan one of his heroes. But unlike most people, he was able to meet his favorite basketball player in a very unique way. In a famous Gatorade commercial from 2002, the present day Jordan is playing one-on-one against a younger version of himself, who just so happened to be Special K. Following filming, special effects artists computer generated the head of a younger Jordan on Special K’s body.

Now in his third season with the Globetrotters, Hi Rise Brown awes fans worldwide with his seemingly limitless hops ability and rim-rattling dunks. Does Hi Rise have a favorite dunk? “I like them all, but the crowd really seems to get excited when I do a 360 or when I do my ‘Spider-Man’ dunk. You’ll have to come out to a game to see what I mean.”

Now in his sixth season with the Globetrotters, Buckets loves working with and mentoring kids, so his role as an Advance Ambassador, making appearances around the country presenting the popular “C.H.E.E.R. For Character” program, is perfect for him. He sees himself running his own gym and helping kids build character and self-esteem through sports mentoring following his playing days. He encourages youngsters to, “be the best ‘you’ that you can be, because it’s very difficult to try and be someone else.” |
