UT PAC'S Bass Concert Hall Reopens with Stellar Broadway Season!


Broadway Across America has announced a WICKED five-show 2008-2009 Season in UT Performing Arts Center’s newly renovated state-of-the-art Bass Concert Hall set to reopen in late January of 2009! In celebration of the new and improved Bass Concert Hall, Broadway Across America is bringing Austin a landmark year showcasing an expanded five-show offering.

Direct from Broadway, the 2008-2009 Broadway Season returns to UT’S Performing Arts Center with a schedule that includes the hilarious smash hit musical based on the classic MGM film, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL (February 3 - 8, 2009). |

2005 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Monty Python’s SPAMALOT
(March 10 – 15, 2009), an outrageous new musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the film classic “Monty Python and the Holy Grail". |

AVENUE Q (April 15 – 19, 2009), the uproarious smash-hit 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book about a bright-eyed college grad who moves to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account.

RENT (May, 12 – 17, 2009), the show that transformed how a generation feels about musicals, changed Broadway forever, and inspired a major motion picture, featuring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, stars of the original Broadway production and film adaptation of RENT.

WICKED (August 12 – 30, 2009), Broadway’s biggest blockbuster that tells the remarkable odyssey of how two unlikely friends from the land of Oz grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. |
