Playhouse Disney Live! brings some of Disney channels most popular characters to life in an unforgettable live performance. The interactive show will feature the endearing characters from the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Little Einsteins,” “Handy Manny,” and “My Friends Tigger & Pooh.” The main story line centers on the characters from the various shows and their invitation to Mickey’s musical party. The characters are asked to create a unique and original song to showcase at the party and share with all of their friends. The creative songs and interactive aspect of the show will bring the magic that is Disney to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on December 19.

One of the main shows featured in Playhouse Disney Live! is the television series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” which follows the daily lives of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto. On television, this series encourages preschoolers to use basic problem-solving skills to help Mickey and his friends solve a task in each episode. This highly interactive series is translated into a stage performance that will involve each and every child on an exciting adventure into the world of Disney.

Also accepting the challenge to create original songs for the party are Leo, June, Quincy, and Annie from the show “Little Einsteins.” As an integral part of Playhouse Disney Live!, the series “Little Einsteins” promotes art and music appreciation for preschoolers by focusing on the four young children’s educational escapades. Through a series of missions, the four main characters travel to exciting locations where they learn about famous works of art as well as classical music masterpieces. The interactive and stimulating atmosphere of the television series is brilliantly represented in the stage version and provides audience members a vivid representation of their favorite characters.

Not wanting to miss out on the musical party, Manny Garcia and his toolbox of friends from the show, “Handy Manny,” take center stage as they creatively search for an expressive song to share with the partygoers. Handy Manny provides a unique opportunity for children to actively share in adventures with a bilingual character and his trusty tools. By sharing both the English and Spanish language with the audience, Handy Manny broadens the minds of viewers and provides young children with a invaluable learning experience.

Long-time pals Winnie the Pooh and Tigger join in the merriment of Mickey’s party and brainstorm with their new friend Darby to create an innovative song for the celebration. The thinking and problem-solving skills that are emphasized in the television show, “My Friends Tigger & Pooh,” are represented in the live performance as audience members are asked to “think, think, think” for a solution to the mysteries the characters encounter on their adventures. The happiness and innocence of Winnie the Pooh and his friends’ journeys throughout the Hundred Acre Wood artfully highlights the appeal of the well-known characters.

Playhouse Disney Live! will take the stage at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on December 19 to showcase the beloved characters of the Disney shows that continue to spark imagination in the minds of young children everywhere.
