So You Think You Can Dance?
Tour 2008
The hot summer show “So You Think You Can Dance” is bringing their 2008 tour to the Frank Erwin Center on October 12! The series premiered in 2005 and has been taking the world by storm ever since. In 2006, “So You Think You Can Dance” was the No. 1 rated television show for adults ages 18-49.
Emmy-nominated “So You Think You Can Dance” was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment Ltd. and dick clark productions. All different types of dancers come from around the country to tango, salsa, and krump their way to the top! After a grueling selection process filled with auditions and call-backs, the top 20 finalists are paired into couples and advance to the performance round. The 20 finalists dance for America’s votes, and each week the six contestants comprising the bottom three couples are given a chance to perform solo routines. Then the judges decide which dancers stay in the competition and which two are eliminated. Once they establish themselves as a Top 10 performer, they are working to become “America’s Favorite Dancer.” The audience gets to vote for who they think is the best dancer! The previous winners of this prestigious award include Nick Lazzarini, Benji Schwimmer, and Sabra Johnson. The winner of this season’s show will receive $250,000 and the title “America’s Favorite Dancer.”
The Top 10 dancers from Season Four will tour cities around the country to show off their moves. You will see some of your favorite routines from the show, as well as special routines created just for the tour.
These dancers have shown what they can do on TV, and now it is your turn to see this season’s Top 10 “So You Think You Can Dance” dancers in the flesh! The tour gives the audience special insight to these dancer’s personalities with video montage introductions as well as filler chat between routines. You can feel how strong the relationships have become throughout the tour by the interactions they have with each other on stage. Be at the Frank Erwin Center on October 12 for this unique opportunity to see your favorite dancers strut their stuff on our stage!

Enjoy one of our spectacular VIP Pre-Show Dinners before catching the spectacular dancers from “So You Think You Can Dance.” Compare your favorites and talk about the Top 10 with other fans of the show and then catch them all LIVE inside the arena. The VIP Pre-Show Dinner is hosted in our very own Lone Star Room and is always wonderful and delicious and the perfect way to kick off the evening before heading to the show.
VIP Pre-Show packages for So You Think You Can Dance are $82 and $91.50 and include a concert ticket, dinner ticket, parking in The University of Texas Trinity parking garage (subject to availability) and entrance through the Red River street level doors. A cash bar will be available for your convenience. Dancers will not make an appearance at the dinner.
