The Cheetah Girls will Kickoff National Tour in Austin on October 8!

The Cheetah Girls will kick off their "Cheetah Girls One World Tour" in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center on October 8. The members of the pop/R&B trio--Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams - are going on tour to promote their new movie The Cheetah Girls One World and its accompanying soundtrack. The movie premieres this Friday, August 22 on the Disney Channel and the soundtrack is scheduled to be released Tuesday. The Cheetah Girls One World, filmed in Mumbai and Udaipur, India, continues the story of best friends, and hopeful recording artists, Chanel, Aqua and Dorinda, as they embark on their biggest adventure yet by traveling to India to star in a Bollywood movie.

The group first appeared in the Disney Channel original movie The Cheetah Girls, followed by the sequel The Cheetah Girls 2. The original plan was for The Cheetah Girls to only appear in the Disney Channel movies, and play the fictional characters Chanel Simmons, Dorinda Thomas and Aquanette Walker. However, responding to the success of the films, Disney decided to turn the members of the group into real recording artists. The Cheetah Girls first complete album, TCG, was released in 2007 and features the popular songs "So Bring It On" and "Fuego."

The soundtrack features 12 hip-hop, R&B, Indian-influenced tracks performed by the superstars. The movie's anthem song and the soundtrack's lead single "One World" will be featured in The Cheetah Girls' set, along with favorites from the first two movies and soundtracks.
