Blue October Music Hits Home with Fans

Are you Blue October fans ready to be ‘foiled?’ Come out to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center, on November 17, to witness the magic of the “Sorry Boy Burns Bright” tour with very special guests Yellowcard, Shiny Toy Guns and Lovedrug!
This Houston, Texas band is no ordinary chip off the block. From the meaning behind their songs to the way they attained their success, Blue October is known for their wonderfully unique style. With the release of their new album, Foiled, the band opens up their feelings and emotions about success, life and love. The lead singer/songwriter/guitarist, Justin Furstenfeld, was quoted saying, “It’s like, let me just kind of clue you in on what it feels like in my own brain.”
The other talented band members, drummer Jeremy (brother to Justin), guitar/vocalist CB Hudson, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye and bassist Matt Noveskey, all feel similar in regard to the band’s openness. “It’s all real-life experiences everyone can relate to. Our music touches people in the heart. I’m really proud of that,” said guitarist Hudson.
And, obviously they really are at touching their fans’ hearts, because the Foiled album went platinum in the US and Canada in February of this year. Popular hits included on the album are “Hate Me,” which stayed in the Rock Top 10 for over six months, and “Into the Ocean” which hit the #1 spot on VH-1! Due to all of this growing success, the band’s presence is now stronger than ever before with sold-out shows all over Texas.
Accompanying Blue October on tour will be the alternative rock bands Yellowcard, Shiny Toy Guns and Lovedrug. Yellowcard, a rock and pop-blended band from Jacksonville, Florida, became a household name with the release of their single “Ocean Avenue” in 2003. Nowadays, after having sold more than 3 million albums, they are having fun with their newly-released album, Paper Walls, which came out July 17. The band sounds rejuvenated when lead singer/guitarist, Ryan Key, says “For the first time in a long time we were in our own little world making a record that we were having fun with. There was no pressure. There was nobody waiting to see what Yellowcard would do next. This record was a totally positive experience and it reminded us of why we started doing this in the first place.” The lead single on the new album, “Light Up the Sky,” is a very hopeful song which helps set the optimistic tone of the album.
Shiny Toy Guns are known for their hit singles, “Le Disco” and “You Are the One,” which are on their current album We Are Pilots. Also joining the tour is Lovedrug, who are also promoting their current album Everything Starts Where it Ends.
The “Sorry Boy Burns Bright” tour is going to be an exciting, electric, must-see event at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center. So, make sure you get your tickets now to come out and see these four extremely talented bands take the stage, on November 17, for a night of intense vocals and beats!
