GO Tour

newsboys

The newsboys will be bringing their unique and widely popular Christian tunes as their “GO Tour” makes way to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on October 20! The newsboys, an Australian-American band, are extremely popular in the Christian music scene. When they began, they first sought to play music infused with life and hope for all who would listen, and especially for all those who most needed to hear it. This vision has carried the newsboys across international barriers of language, culture and race.

The key to this Christian pop band’s huge success must lie in its members. Peter Furler handles lead vocals, guitar, and drums, and has written most of the newsboys’ songs. Jeff Frankenstein, the band’s keyboardist, is an American musician and talented pianist. Duncan Phillips is the newsboys’ main drummer and a skilled composer that has produced and contributed to various albums throughout his lifetime, before joining the band. Paul Colman contributes guitar, backing vocals, and bass skills to the newsboys and is also known for making a name for himself as a Christian musician independently. All four members come together to create a sound that fans everywhere have come to love.

The band has won several awards including multiple Dove Awards, Grammy nominations, and a Billboard Music Award. They manage to make headlines and climb the charts while sticking to their Christian beliefs and delivering a positive message to their listeners. GO, their most recent album, features hits like “I Am Free,” “Wherever We Go” and “Something Beautiful.”

Also touring with the newsboys are Portland, Oregon-based fivesome Kutless, and Canadian soul, funk, reggae and gospel band, newworldson.

With six previous albums certified Gold, the newsboys, along with their special guests, are sure to deliver an award winning performance to fans at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on October 20!
