Tyler Perry's What's Done in the Dark

Take a Quick Peek at Tyler Perry's Newest Play

Tyler Perry's What's Done in the Dark

Tyler Perry’s brand new hit stage production is going to make a stop in Austin at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center to give some insight as to “What’s Done in the Dark” on March 21.

If you have never had the opportunity to see a Tyler Perry play, now is your chance to experience a wonderful story of suspense, infidelity, high spirits and great triumphs.

“What’s Done in the Dark” takes place in a hospital emergency room. The mood in the E.R is that strange things happen when the there is a full moon, especially when desperate women do desperate things. Despite the best efforts to keep matters quiet, staff members realize that being silent is no way to find out the truth.

The cast of “What’s Done in the Dark” consists of many talented artists including David Mann, Tamala Mann, Allen Payne, D’Atra Hicks, Chandra Currelley, Cassi Davis, LaVan Davis, Julie Dickens, and Ryan Gentles. Tyler Perry does not appear in this production.

Once homeless, Tyler Perry has created a multi-million dollar company that spans theatre, books, film and television. In 2006 Perry opened Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. The studios house two soundstages and will soon house an acting school and theater company. Perry’s syndicated television sitcom “House of Payne,” debuting this fall and his upcoming feature film “Daddy’s Little Girls,” opening this month, were filmed at the studios.
