MARIA SCHNEIDER
March 3 • Hogg Auditorium
Armed with her big band, Grammy winner Maria Schneider comes to Austin live, in concert, at the UT Performing Arts Center. If you can believe Downbeats 2005 critics, Maria Schneider is composer and arranger of the year with the jazz album of the year (Concert in the Garden). This jazz genius hits Hogg on March 3.


MARIACHI VARGAS
March 5 • Bass Concert Hall
On March 5 at 3PM, Mariachi Vargas will introduce Austin to the ultimate Mexican musical experience. Following a sold out performance at the PAC last year, they’re back by popular demand— one show only! Don’t miss “el mejor mariachi del mundo” (the best mariachi in the world), now in the 5th generation. Viva la mariachi!

R. KELLY
March 17 • Bass Concert Hall
Look out! R. Kelly brings his Light It Up Tour to the UT Performing Arts Center. Since first appearing on the R & B scene in 1992, R. Kelly has gone from singing in subway stations to becoming the premiere soul man on the planet. Now he makes his UT PAC debut as “Mr. Showbiz,” performing his hits LIVE in concert.




MICHAEL BUBLE
March 18 • Bass Concert Hall
Prepare to be swept away when the sensational Michael Bublé comes to the UT Performing Arts Center for one incredible night! After selling out concerts around the world and with 2 platinum albums to his credit, Buble has been thrilling audiences with his amazing live performances. Expect no less from this incredible crooner on March 18!


YING QUARTET
March 24 • Hogg Auditorium
Delivering what the Los Angeles Times calls “music of astonishing, refreshing exaltation and exhilaration,” the Ying Quartet is lauded for its elegance and dynamism. This internationally celebrated sibling quartet returns to the UT Performing Arts Center March 24 with an innovative repertoire that is chamber music at its best.







ELVIS COSTELLO with the Austin Symphony Orchestra
April 11• Bass Concert Hall
Mark your calendars for a phenomenal event! On April 11, Elvis Costello’s Symphony Tour hits Austin! The UT Performing Arts Center presents ElVIS COSTELLO with Cap City’s own symphony performing two unforgettable sets. The first, a suite from Il Sogno, Costello’s celebrated full-length orchestral work based on Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. After intermission, it’s classic Costello!
